Fighting Anti-Palestinian Racism in Peel Region Schools

LCP’s Policy and Research Committee has launched a survey to capture the experiences of Palestinian children or children of Palestinian descent within the Peel District School Board (PDSB) and Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board (DPCDSB). We urgently call on parents and guardians of children aged 8-17 in these regions to share their stories.

Your participation is vital. By completing this survey, you contribute to a broader effort to identify and combat APR in our schools. Your responses will remain completely confidential, with all identifying information anonymized before being reviewed by our research team.

Why Your Input Matters

The insights we gather from this survey will enable us to:

  • Develop targeted strategies to support Palestinian families.

  • Advocate for essential policy changes within educational institutions.

  • Raise awareness and combat APR effectively.

How to Participate

  1. The survey consists of 21 questions and should take approximately 20 minutes per child. We ask that you complete a separate survey for each child.

  2. Your responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. All data will be securely stored and only accessible to the study researchers.

  3. Participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time without any consequences. All associated data will be destroyed immediately upon withdrawal.

Potential Emotional Impact

We recognize that recalling experiences of racism can be distressing. You are encouraged to take breaks and only share as much detail as you are comfortable with. Support resources will be available, and our team is ready to follow up if you need additional assistance.
